Derlicatessen (Tsakalof 14, Kolonaki, Athens) – opened by prominent Greek-American restauranteur Dimitris Christoforidis, this is home of the universally-known Greek fast food: souvlaki (small pieces of meat grilled on a skewer – sometimes served with vegetables). This one of more health-conscious, serving freshly-cut French Fries, meat with very little fat, Turkey Burgers, Greek Water Buffalo, Chicken Souvlaki, and other Greek fast foods. All this, with whole-wheat pita bread and freshly-made Tzatziki sauce (Greek cucumber yogurt dip).
